Sony Xperia S will come with a special coating stain

The Sony Xperia S, presented in the past CES, has some as many very interesting virtues: the camera of 12 megapixel with Exmor sensor, the screen of Bravia Engine with 720p resolution as well as a really pretty design. Although these are its main tricks, also counts on two small shades that more than one will thank.

Sony Xperia S

The first one arrives since the profile of Sony Ericsson in Facebook. The framework of the terminal has count on a protection anti stain that will avoid the Xperia S is dirtied with facility. Something especially useful keeping in mind that is a tactile terminal and that from time to time we leave it out of the case over a table for example. Continue reading

ViewSonic Viewphone 3, a dual SIM Android

As might be expected because of the importance of the company, ViewSonic has been one of the many companies and manufacturers who were present at the CES 2012 in Las Vegas in order to publicize their products.

ViewSonic Viewphone 3

The company is not one of the best known brands in the U.S., as it has a greater importance in other countries, but as Mike Holstein, product manager, ViewSonic, that previously was responsible for its success in terms of tablets they are providing enough margin so they can try their luck with smartphones.

The Viewphone 3 made its debut in Las Vegas, although it is not a terminal which is seeking the support of more specialized users, since it is not a smartphone designed for those who seek only the most advanced. Continue reading

HTC rethinks its strategy for 2012: Quality over quantity

The 2011 has been a big year for HTC, or at least they believe in the company. A statement questionable if we consider that the last quarter of last year has not exactly been good. Either way the Taiwanese company has been thinking and will change its strategy for this year.

HTC

As the title says, this year we will have more quality than quantity. In an interview with Phil Robertson, CEO of HTC UK, Mobile Today says that this year the number of terminals will be less but instead we find pointing devices who can meet the demands of different market niches.

The move seems logical. Not all companies have sufficient financial muscle to massive marketing campaigns and to bring many products to market. Better to focus on getting fewer terminals but are of high quality. The margin of error is larger but the truth is that HTC needs to regain the dominant position in the mobile market. Nokia have sold 1.3 million Lumia

Many of us like to see how these will end sales of certain star, to see how they work the thing to have the developer, and consider whether it will be a major terminal in the market as is usually expected. Companies tend to be quite transparent when sales are going well, but not so much when the figures do not separate.

Nokia Lumia

The case of Lumia phones is even more important because they also represent a complete change in Nokia philosophy, and a commitment by Microsoft that is unlikely to have intermediate results. It is expected success or failure.

Quite possibly the 26th of January we learn something more, because Nokia will share its financial results for the fourth quarter and annual summary step, including sales of Smartphones, with some luck, divided between Symbian and Windows Phone. Continue reading
