HTC rethinks its strategy for 2012: Quality over quantity

The 2011 has been a big year for HTC, or at least they believe in the company. A statement questionable if we consider that the last quarter of last year has not exactly been good. Either way the Taiwanese company has been thinking and will change its strategy for this year.

As the title says, this year we will have more quality than quantity. In an interview with Phil Robertson, CEO of HTC UK, Mobile Today says that this year the number of terminals will be less but instead we find pointing devices who can meet the demands of different market niches.

The move seems logical. Not all companies have sufficient financial muscle to massive marketing campaigns and to bring many products to market. Better to focus on getting fewer terminals but are of high quality. The margin of error is larger but the truth is that HTC needs to regain the dominant position in the mobile market. Imagenio launches on Blackberry phones

Apple gets to prohibit the sale of some models of HTC in U.S

The legal battles continue in the technology market and although it seemed that Apple was too busy fighting Samsung continuously, also decided to undertake legal action offensives against HTC.

An accusation of patent did it by means of indicating that HTC was using Apple’s patents in mobile devices without the corresponding license. At the end of the confrontation, the International Trade Commission has determined that HTC is guilty of violating the Apple patent number 5.946.647 that relates to user interfaces and mobile internal structures.
